Flexibility and versatility are probably the two words that best describe ImTOO Video Converter. All the output formats you can think of are well supported, and unlike many other conversion tools out there, this app offers you true, multi-thread, flexible batch conversion support. Thus, it can re-encode each file on the conversion list into a different format and – what is more – into as many formats as desired, so that you will only need to launch the conversion process once to cover all your requirements.
Its well-designed interface reserves the biggest panel for the conversion list, and complements it with a useful media player and some basic settings associated to the output profile selected. To avoid cluttering the interface, all advanced settings pertaining to the selected profile are shown in an adjacent window when selected. As for the output profiles themselves, these are wisely organized both by codec (or format) and by device. This ensures that all users can benefit from ImTOO Video Converter, regardless of their skills.
The program comes with a series of basic editing features that will allow you to customize the output according to your preferences and the requirements of your target devices. These features include video clipping and merging, and the possibility of applying creative effects to your videos, such as black and white, negative, old picture, oil painting, or mosaic effects. But the highlight of the various transformation features provided is, undoubtedly, its support for 2D to 3D conversions. This feature not only transforms any 2D video file into a 3D movie (anaglyph, polarized, side-by-side, etc.), but it also converts 3D videos between formats.
In a nutshell, ImTOO Video Converter offers true flexible video batch conversion to anyone requiring to transform their video collection into any of the formats that the most common portable devices can deal with. The editing features provided, if not extensive, are enough to add your personal touch to your video collection and even to produce your own 3D movies and home videos.
1) I'd like to have more CUDA-enabled video formats in this converter.
2) Graphic interface could be smoother, more serious, more compact. Edges of buttons and controls are rough. Buttons are too big. Additional side windows and panels look a bit raw, as if their graphic appearance was not finished.
